Kuwait''s longest and biggest national campaign for a healthy lifestyle called gethealthykuwait.com launched on Tuesday jointly with Diet Care and Taiba Hospital in order to help individuals and families to overcome weight challenges, obesity and diabetes.

Rashed AlـFadala, Taiba Hospital Chief Operating Officer, said "we''ve joined forced with Diet Care to not only help spread the message, but to actually bring the testing facilities to the people and engage them wherever they are. With gethealthykuwait.com, the first step is ours not theirs by visiting people wherever they are, providing with free testing and consultation."

Diet Care Operations Manager Sami AlـBader added that "the national campaign aims to aware the community. Unlike the traditional way of printing brochures that tell people what to do, we provide an action campaign, where we go to the customer and provide them with onـspot free testing and free nutritional consultation."
The 28 days program allows the participants to gain better knowledge on how to adjust their diets, decide on portions and change their lifestyle to maintain being healthy.

In addition, through the website gethealthykuwait.com "participants are able to ask questions and have expert nutritionists answer them, have access to nutrition tips and be motivated," said AlـBader.
The one year long campaign could be registered to through Diet Care, Taiba Hospital or the booth which will be located weekly in different places such as schools, malls, and social gatherings. The first booth will be available at the Avenues mall this upcoming Thursday and will remain till Saturday.

The campaign team will also extend to every individual, couple and family the opportunity to register to a nutritional or weight loss program provided by Diet Care at a heavily discounted rate as part of its efforts to help people overcome their weight challenges and obesity. The package begins with a rate of 189 Kuwaiti dinars.
On their part, Taiba Hospital is offering up to 50 percent discounts on full medical checkـups for all participants. Once enrolled, in gethealthykuwait.com every member will have free access to Diet Care''s dietitians as well as to weekly walkathons and health sessions.

To encourage registered clients, gethealthyKuwait.com will offer on a quarterly basis a vacation for three to Bali, Indonesia as a reward to the person who loses the most percentage of their body weight. The winner of the first trip will be announced in October 2009.
