Taiba Hospital organized the first football championship for ladies as part of its plan to raise awareness about sports and its importance for a healthy community.
Eight teams participated in the one-day tournament, which was held at Al-Abdaa American School in Hawali. Each team consisted of eight players of different ages, seven main players and one bench player.
Numerous awards were presented to the participating teams, including prizes for the best player and best goalkeeper. The first prize winner received a cup prize and the second and third winners received medals.
Taiba Hospital aims to strengthen its relations with its employees and the community through organizing a number of social, cultural and athletic activities such as educational conferences, entertainment camps, athletic tournaments, and awareness campaigns against dangerous diseases.
